10 Month Baby Update…
I am a little late in posting this because this month went by SO fast! Every week I kept saying oh I still have time to take her 10 month photo, but then this weekend I realized she is going to be 11 months on Monday!! #MomFail & #MomBrain But better late than never, am I right?! I have been busy planning Kennedy’s 1st birthday party which we are going to have in California with family and close friends! We are also going to take Kennedy to Disneyland for the first time when we are there too. I can’t wait to see her face when she goes on the little kid rides and when she sees all the Disney characters. Click “READ THE POST” below to see full post…

10 MONTH MILESTONES:
- CHANGES + MILESTONES: Kennedy is walking with her walker and with us when we help her! She is talking more and saying more words, she has a ton of energy and never sits still, and she is getting her four top teeth in!
- TALKING + COMMUNICATING – Kennedy loves to exclaim “DADA!” or “MAMA!” if either one of us walk into the room. She says both mama and dada, but of course, she says Dada more (eye roll… lol jk) This month, she has said some new words such as kitty, flower, and hi. She waves when we say hi or bye bye, and she loves waving at strangers when we are at the grocery store or at a restaurant. Kennedy claps when music comes on, if she gets really excited about something, or if we say “YAY!”
- WHAT KENNEDY LOVES – Her favorite activity right now is still her Little Gym class I take her to once a week. It is a mommy and me class where the babies can interact with each other, explore the gym mats, do activities such as flips, walking the balance beam, singing, bubbles, and much more. Kennedy LOVES to hang from the wooden gymnastic bar they have, and I swear she can hang on for a minute! I think we have a future gymnast on our hands 😉 She is loving the remote, taking mommy’s phone, walking with her walker, going out to eat so she can be around people, and the swings at the park. She also loves FaceTime her Auntie and her grandparents in California.
- MOVING – Kennedy is now on the go and walking all around with her walker. If I say “let’s walk,” she will go to her walker and stand up and walk around with it. It is the cutest thing ever! She also is standing up on furniture and cruising along it.
- SLEEP – She is taking two naps a day now, each nap around 1.5-2 hours long. She sleeps about 12 hours straight at night. She has been not so great the past few days about taking her 2nd nap of the day, so I am hoping she isn’t transitioning yet down to just one nap!!
- EATING – I offer her a bottle of about 4oz of formula when she wakes up in the morning and when she wakes up from her naps. Sometimes she will drink it all and sometimes she won’t. She has been refusing her bottle more lately, and is just wanting her solid food instead. But I also give her 4oz of formula before her naps and she will always drink that!
- She eats three meals a day, with some snacks in between if she seems hungry. She mainly eats finger foods now and likes to feed herself. She eats what I eat and so far loves everything we have given her! She has had chicken, steak, brush sprouts, salmon, brown rice, couscous, quinoa, most veggies like broccoli, carrots, spinach, kale, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and avocado, whole milk yogurt, greek yogurt, bread, beans, tortilla, lots of different fruits, like pears, bananas, strawberries, mango, and blueberries. All the veggies I give her are steamed and cut into tiny pieces!
- PLAYING – Kennedy LOVES playing with all her toys and especially loves this singing and talking puppy, this activity center table she pulls up and stands to play with it, and this activity center walker. I have a playmat she will play on and that is “play area” where I have all her toys and everything organized in bins. I got her these flashcards with the alphabet, first words, shapes and colors, and numbers. I will do 10-15 flashcards and show her the photo and saw the word or number. I also read to her at least once a day, even though sometimes she won’t pay attention! lol She loves taking all her books out of the bin and opening them up and looking at all the pictures inside! Also, a cardboard box and a small plastic ball will keep her entertained and happy for a LONG time too! haha
KENNEDY’S DAILY SCHEDULE +FEEDING SCHEDULE:
Each day is slightly different (give or take 30min-1hour), but usually her schedule looks like this. She stays awake for 3-3.5 hours, no more than 4-5 hours! She takes 2 naps a day now and sleeps 12 hours at night.
8:00-8:30am – Wakes up! Drinks bottle (4-6 oz.)
8:45am – Playtime!
9:30am – Breakfast in her high chair!
11:00am – Goes down for nap #1! I do a small nap-time routine, which is just a short version of her bed time routine but without the bath. It helps relax her and have her know it is nap time. I also try to start the nap time routine in the 15 minute “window” before the 3 hours is up.
1:00pm – Wakes up from nap, changing, and drinks a bottle of formula (4-6oz)
1:15pm – This is usually when I get Kennedy dressed and ready to go out and do a fun activity or run errands with mommy!
2:30pm– Lunch!
4:00pm – Goes down for nap #2 (nap time routine again)
5:00pm – Wakes up from nap, changing, and drinks bottle of formula(4-6oz)
6:30pm– Eats dinner with mommy!
7:300pm – Bath time and I get her ready for bed! She sits up in the bath tub now and I let her play with all her bath toys- she LOVES her bath! It gets her really calm and ready for sleep. She gets really sleepy after her bath and starts to get fussy after I take her out and dry her off. She knows that its time for bed! lol I quickly put lotion on her, give her her probiotic drops, diaper, pjs, Owlet, bottle and then put down to sleep. She will sleep on average 12 hours.
7:15-7:30pm – Bedtime!
