TOP 7-8 MONTH BABY TOY FAVORITES FROM BUYBUY BABY…
*This post is in partnership with buybuy BABY, a brand I love. All opinions here are my own.
I wanted to share with you all toys Kennedy has LOVED playing with since she was 7 months old. Some of these toys and products can be used even earlier, about 6 months! Such as the Laugh and Learn Puppy and the Infantino activity gym and ball pit! These are my top toys and baby products I recommend for ages 7-9 months old!
On a side note, I was looking for a great product to clean her toys and wipe up her spit up and drool, and found the amazing line of safe cleaning products from Dapple! They are plant bases and non-toxic! Kennedy puts everything in her mouth and licks all her toys, so I definitely wanted something that would be safe if she ingested any trace of it.I use the Dapple Fragrance Free Toy and High Chair Cleaner to wipe up her high chair after meal time and all her toys. The Pure and Clean Everything Spray for cleaning her nursery and play mat, and other things such as shopping cart handles. Their on the go pacifier wipes, hands and face wipes and everything wipes are ALWAYS on hand in my diaper bag!!! I also wash her bottles, teething toys and pacifiers with their Pure n’ Clean Baby Bottles Dishes Liquid Dish Cleaner!
I hope you guys will find this post useful when deciding which toys to get your little one! If you have any questions, feel free to email me or comment below, or ask any of the buybuy BABY store employees! They are so helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to baby products, and I always love going to the buybuy BABY store and shopping there! It is always such a pleasant and fun experience!

1. Laugh and Learn Smart Stages Puppy
The puppy has been her FAVORITE toy since she was about 5 months old! It is meant for ages 6 plus, but honestly Kennedy couldn’t get enough of her “Mr. Puppy” from such an early age. It has songs and says phrases and has a red heart that lights up. She gets SOO excited and happy when she plays with it and it sings or talks to her. It has over 50 sing along songs, phrases, and tunes. It helps develop sensory and fine motor skills in your child. If I had to keep only one toy for Kennedy, this would be it and she would be happy as a clam! The puppy also has different levels once your baby gets older, and it can easily be turned on and off!
2. Rainbow Soft Stackable Rings
Kennedy loves to take the rings on and off of this toy and chew on them as well! I think she loves how soft they are and they have the crinkle stuff on the inside that babies go crazy for! So once she takes the ring off she loves to play with it and hear the crinkle sound. She will toss the rings from one hand to another and different textures on the rings help with her sense of touch and feel. This is such a great toy and activity for baby to do once they start sitting up! Another great option would be to put your baby in a Bumbo seat and put the stackable rings in front of them to give them something to do while they strengthen their core in the seat. That is a great activity until they start fully sitting up on their own!
This is such a fun book for us to read together! It has six nursery rhymes that sing to her and on the side colorful piano keys. This book is great way for them to hear and learn nursery rhymes and a great introduction to music through hearing all the different instrument sounds. There are little pieces that slide and twist on the pages, so it makes reading with her fun and interactive for her!
4. The Infantino Grow-With-Me Activity Gym and Ball Pit
has been our favorite activity center since Kennedy was a newborn! It grows with your baby and can be used once they start sitting up too. She loved laying on the mat and starting at all the bold prints and the sea animals hanging above her. We she started doing tummy time she loved looking at all the bright and fun colors and pictures on the playmat. Now she is sitting up all on her own, we converted it to the ball pit and she LOVES playing in there with all her balls! It comes with 40 colorful balls and the balls can easily be stored away with the turtle storage pouch on the side of the mat. She can spend so much time in there entertaining herself and having a blast!!
5. Melissa and Doug Zoo Friends Hand Puppets
I was researching some ways to make her playtime more interactive and start to spark her imagination, and I came across animal puppets! I have been reading picture books to her lately and pointing out all the animals and making the sounds for her so she will start to recognize them. She thinks it is the funniest thing when I make all the silly animal sounds. I will do funny animal voices and talk to her with these puppets and play peek a boo! She can’t get enough of them and I can tell she is having so much fun. It helps me bond with her more during playtime because I am playing with her and helping her learn the animals and use her imagination for stories I make up with the animals! I think these are something my baby and I will continue to use and love for years to come!
6. Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker
Since Kennedy has started crawling at the beginning of 8 months, the next milestone will probably be standing up and walking! I got this fun walker for her to start using now and so she can still use it for months and months after. It can be played with on the floor for a baby who is still only on her tummy or sitting up. The activity center is removable and can be taken on and off the walker. Also, you can have it up like in the picture and the baby can play with it sitting up, and then the baby can start using it to push around and walk with! I really think this toy was a great investment because it can be used for so many months and different stages in her development. As you can see, Kennedy loves to sit and play with the piano buttons, the light up shapes, and absolutely loves the phone that talks when you pick it up!
7. Spring Baby Float Activity Center with Sun Shade
I was looking for a pool float with a sun shade for this summer and found this one at buybuy BABY! It is perfect for little ones because it keeps them out of the sun with the canopy, and has an activity center in front of them with dangling toys and teething toys to enjoy in the pool! It also folds up easily and has a bad for transporting it. We plan on taking it with us on our summer vacation to Mexico next month!
