CAR SEAT REVIEW: Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0
I have teamed up with Cybex to share it’s new convertible car seat the Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0! This car seat has amazing technology that sends alerts to you when a dangerous situation arises. I am also sharing some important car seat safety information.
From the time Kennedy wakes up to the moment I put her to bed at night, our days are non-stop! I have gotten used to the fact that there are no more breaks or naps for mama- only baby girl. Our busiest days are the ones where I am running errands, stocking the fridge up with groceries, going to doctor appointments, play-dates, trips to the park, all while taking Kennedy in and out of the car each time we stop somewhere. Let me tell you, that is a workout in itself for me!
My number one priority is safety with my child. One thing in particular that I have always been super strict about is Kennedy’s car seat. I am super picky about what car seats we get for her and how to strap her in properly. That is why in today’s post I am excited to share with you this new convertible car seat I have been loving since I started using it for Kennedy.
I have teamed up with Cybex to share with you all the amazing safety features of the new Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0. This innovative and technology driven convertible car seat is such an amazing baby product for any parent to invest in. It was originally made to alert parents when they left their baby in a hot car to prevent infant hot car deaths. In addition to that amazing and lifesaving feature, there is more that the technology does as well. The Sensor Safe 2.0 also can monitor the well-being of your child while the vehicle is in motion. Here are some things it will alert you: if you accidentally leave the child alone in the car, if your child unbuckles herself, or if the car seat isn’t installed properly! You might be wondering, how does this technology work in a car seat?! An alert will go off through the vehicle receiver, which is installed inside the car. That alert is also sent to your cell phone! But you should only be seeing the alerts on your smartphone when your car is parked or when you are outside of the car.
I remembered seeing news story after news story about children being left in hot cars, and thinking how on EARTH can a parents let that happen to their child? Now that I am a mom, my eyes have opened. I see now that no parent is perfect or free from making mistakes. Life with a little one can make you frazzled and your days can be super hectic, especially if you have multiples! The life of a parent is hard and unfortunately, accidents sometimes happen. It is so comforting that the Sensor Safe 2.0 will alert me if something dangerous happens in the car seat. The Sensor Safe 2.0 is such amazing and innovative technology for car seats! It is something every parents should invest in for their child’s safety- especially with summer coming up soon!
Besides the amazing technology that the new Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 has, I love the sleek design and look of this convertible car seat. Kennedy loves it as well and is comfortable in it, which is super important to me. There is a cup holder that can be placed on either side of the seat and it is dishwasher safe. The car seat has a newborn insert so it can actually be used from birth all the way up to 65 pounds. I plan on keeping Kennedy rear facing until she is almost 3. Kennedy is very tall for her age (above 99th %tile). So I’m hoping she can stay rear facing until she reaches that age. But she is 19 months old now, so we definitely will not be switching her until she is older than 2 years old. Because 59% of accidents are head-on collisions, it is recommend to keep your baby rear facing until after 2 years old.
“In a head-on collision a rear-facing seat distributes the strong front-impact forces across the seat’s back, significantly reducing the strain on the child’s neck and head.”
The new Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 has an Energy Absorbing Shell around the car seat.
This shell helps reduce the impact forces felt by the child in a collision. The headrest on the car seat is also adjustable. There are 12 different positions for the height of the headrest. The length of the harness also automatically adjusts when the headrest is adjusted!
