Now up on my YouTube Channel are my new makeup and hair tutorials for my Marie Antoinette Halloween Look featuring some of Lancome’s amazing makeup products! I’ve always loved Lancome and their makeup can help you create a dramatically bold makeup look, or can be used for everyday! Marie Antoinette was not only a prominent historic figure in European history, but was a well-known a makeup and fashion icon for her time. I loved the movie Marie Antoinette and I have always loved the rococo era of French history. I love the style, dramatic and over the-stop- decor and style, and the paintings from this time period. So re-creating this look in a video was so much fun to do!
I used mainly Lancome products to achieve my makeup look, and their new Auda(City) in Paris eye shadow palette was perfect for helping me achieve this look!

I was having a hard time finding a wig that I liked for this costume, and everything was I saw online was really tacky, really fake looking and cheap looking- or just WAY over-priced for a one time use! Sooo I came up with this fairly simple up-do hair style, which I think looks more authentic and prettier than a wig!! I used my 1/2 inch clamp curling iron, teasing comb, bobbie pins, and I did use some hair extensions too to create volume. But the hair extensions aren’t necessary!
Most of the little pieces I have in my hair, I just found at my local craft store such as Michael’s! This was such a fun look to come up with and re-create! I have all product linked here in this post, but also if you click the YouTube video below, it will take you YouTube. You can find a full list and exact colors in the info section of the video! Feel free to email (katelyn@atouchofpinkblog.com), comment, or message me on social media if you have any questions!
If you re-create this for Halloween this year, look be sure to tag me on my social channels below so I can see your outfit! Also, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more tutorials and videos coming up!

Thank you for this!! You made it look so easy! I’m going to a Marie-Antionette era masquerade at Versailles this June and yours was the best tutorial I have found!
