Cute Easter Basket Ideas!
Sharing some cute Easter basket ideas and gifts for babies and toddlers!
Can you believe that we’re already prepping for Easter?! It seems like yesterday we had a quiet and “quarantined” Easter with just Alex and my littles! This year I really want to bring in the fun and enjoy this holiday with us and our family! One of my biggest things as a mom is to make holidays fun! It really doesn’t have to cost a lot or take a ton of time (the dollar store & online shopping is my lifeboat) but I really think that going that extra mile on holidays really imprints such a great memory for them for years to come! We include our holiday spending (like what we will include in their Easter baskets) into our monthly budget! I also try to include things that will be useful to them for the upcoming warmer months! Prepping is key so you don’t scramble at the last minute to put something great together- I’ve done the work for you.
Here is a round up of my favorite things to include for my little’s Easter baskets:
Baskets and Grass Filler:
I decided this year to put their basket fillings in these canvas pom pom bins so I can repurpose them in their rooms for their toys or their random things that need a home. I love to buy things that I know won’t be thrown away or I have to store for next year. I also grabbed a few bags of easter basket grass for the kid’s basket on my recent Target run. They have lots of options and colors to choose from!
Shoes:
I found these adorable pink rain boots for Kennedy & these blue rain boots Dane . I got his from Cotton On Kids, but I can’t see them online. We’ve been getting more rainy days here in Southern California this year, so I’m sure they’ll come in handy for those rainy Spring days ahead! There’s also just something SO adorable seeing them in these mini rain boots. You can also add some new sandals or dress shoes for them to wear on Easter!
Swimsuits and Sunnies:
I got this adorable long sleeve coral zip up swimsuit for Kennedy and some cute swim trunks for Dane. I ordered these blue trunks for him as well! In the summer months we LIVE at the beach, splash pads and pool so I find it beneficial to include things that they’ll be wanting AND needing in their baskets 🙂
I included sunglasses because they will actually need them soon! Dane and Kennedy’s eyes are both light, so they have a hard time seeing when it’s really bright outside! They’re so cute but also necessary UV protection for their sensitive eyes. I’m trying to get them to keep these on to practice for when we’re at the beach this summer!
Stuffed Animals, Books & Fun Play Items:
I love these adorable sidewalk chalk “eggs” from Target! They last forever and don’t break off as easily as the other kinds. I also am going to include this bubble gun in the kid’s baskets too. For only $5 it is a great toy to include to keep them busy outside!
Lastly, I like to “fill” the rest of the basket with Dollar Store finds such as these walking little chicklets, plastic eggs, candy and the paper filling! I tend to buy a few “pricier” items and fill the rest in with things that are “throwaways” and won’t make me cringe!
My favorite things to include are these adorable Cuddle & Kind Dolls! I also have a soft spot for all the Jellycat ones as well. These brands are ones my children have always adored and I love how they’re so timeless and they’re not tacky at all!
Easter Pjs and Toddler Girl Accessories:
I LOVE the bows from Little Poppy Co and always include a new Spring bow for Kennedy’s basket! She’ll wear it all spring and summer long with so many different types of outfits! Kennedy loves getting her nails painted and play makeup, so I included this nail and lip kit in her basket as well!
Tell me in my latest Instagram post here what is your favorite Easter Basket or Easter traditions! I’d love to find some new family traditions to do this year. Love you guys and hope you have a very hoppy Easter! xoxo
