Loveliest Looks of Christmas
Today I’m joining 8 other bloggers to share the Loveliest Looks of Christmas Tour, everything from Holiday home decor to fashion!
Welcome to our Loveliest Looks Of Christmas Tour, sponsored by Pottery Barn and hosted by Summer Adams & A Blissful Nest! We’re so glad you’re here to join this talented group of bloggers as we share our winter fashion and Christmas decor with you.
This year, Christmas seems extra magical in the Jones house. My two-year-old daughter, Kennedy, is old enough now to understand who Santa is and is just as obsessed with Christmas as I am! We started decorating early this year, and I have to admit that it might be our new tradition. Christmas is my hands-down favorite holiday of the year, so why not enjoy all the decorations a little bit longer?! I love having Kennedy help mommy pick out some decorations and tell me where to hang the ornaments. She also loves snuggling and watching Christmas movies with Alex and I now. I can’t wait to start our own holiday traditions and do them every year as a family!
I have also found some cute outfits for the holidays! These gold sparkling leggings are perfect dressed down. You can wear them with a cozy sweater or dressed up with heels and a blouse for a holiday party! I also got these cute plaid Christmas pajamas to match Kennedy! They are super soft and comfy!!
Another holiday trend I’m loving both for fashion and home decor is faux fur. I got this faux fur robe and these matching slippers from Pottery Barn and I have been wearing them non-stop since I got them. They have amazing quality and are so cute. They will make the perfect gift this holiday season for your mother-in-law, wife, sister or best friend. I also wanted to incorporate faux fur into my holiday decor by adding this faux fur ruched throw and these cable knit fur trim pillows. You can also add more faux fur touches with a faux fur tree skirt and Christmas stockings.
Since I was a little girl, I would always walk in the Pottery Barn store in the mall and be amazed at all the beautiful, classic and inviting decor. It always would inspire me and give me so many ideas. I always helped my parents decorate their tree and house for Christmas since I can remember. I have always loved home decor, especially holiday decor- it’s just so much fun and makes the holidays that much more special! This year, I found the most beautiful holiday decor, pillows, gifts for the family and ornaments from Pottery Barn.
The focal point and most viewed of any holiday decor you will do is the Christmas tree! For my tree, I used a variety of textures and metallics to add dimension and shine. I used these gorgeous gold glitter poinsettia flowers as the focal point for my tree. They just add so much sparkle and beauty to the tree. The first compliment I get when I show people my tree is the gold glitter flowers! I got this 7-foot pre-lit flocked artificial Christmas tree and I immediately thought of using gold and silver for the colors of my decorations. I’ve always wanted to do a tree with just gold and silver tree and decided to go with it! Something about it is just so classic and stunning once the lights shine through it. To add more dimension and sparkle, I got the large beaded jeweled snowflakes and the mirrored reindeer ornaments. Everything together beautifully reflects the holiday lights from the Christmas tree!
I love having wrapping paper that is simple yet pretty and matches my Christmas tree.. I found the most beautiful and white and gold wrapping paper, boxes and tags! I got a variety of gold polka dots, striped gold wrapping paper, boxes and white and gold ribbon! I think the key to pulling together a complete look with your Christmas tree is finding wrapping paper that goes along with your theme. So whether you’re tree is bold with lots of red or simple with not a lot of ornaments and just neutral colors, try to find one that goes with your theme!
Another easy way to transform a room in your home for the Holidays is adding decorative and festive pillows! I switched out all my Fall pillows for a variety of Christmas pillows from Pottery Barn. You can get a few of the same and then mix and match to create your own style. I’m obsessed with the “Ho Ho Ho” embroidered pillow and the “Let It Snow” pillow. I mixed it wil a few of the cable knit faux fur trim pillows and some simple red striped pillows. If you’re having trouble figuring out which pillows will match well, you can always go into any Pottery Barn store and have them help you! I was having trouble deciding which pillows to get, and the super nice and helpful sales associate helped me put them all together in the store so I can envision what it will look like in my home. I suggest getting 2-3 statement pillows and then the rest more neutral that will go with anything. That way it isn’t overwhelming and they will go together more seamlessly. I think these will be a hit with guests and for Holiday parties!
Another area of our house I wanted to decorate for Christmas was our front entryway. Right when you open the front door, you see a little taste of Christmas. It just feels so inviting and really completes the rest of the decor. I wanted to keep it more neural and simple without a lot of color. I just added 2 flocked mini Christmas trees on each side of the bench, a flocked pine cone wreath to the gold mirror, and some festive Holiday pillows from Pottery Barn!
Another fun idea I got was decorating a little space for your playroom or your child’s room. This kitchen set from Pottery Barn is such a great gift for the holidays and always keeps little ones entertained. Kennedy is obsessed with this all-in-1 kitchen set and this blush rose gold dot Anywhere Chair. We are in the process of remodeling Kennedy’s bedroom, bathroom and playroom, but the kitchen set will go up in the playroom once everything is completed! I strung a quirky and fun garland to the wall with a sparkly metallic wreath! Both the kitchen set and the Anywhere Chair will make perfect gifts for toddlers this year. I also found this darling mini Christmas tree for Kennedy. This is going up in her room and I want to take her with me to pick out some more unique ornaments for it. I got this metallic mini ornament set and this mini pom pom cream tree skirt for it.
