Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you some of my pregnancy must-haves and some of my favorite maternity dresses from Pink Blush Maternity! Since I found out I was pregnant, I immediately bought pregnancy books and started reading and researching everything I could about pregnancy! I love researching things and knowing everything there is to know about something! I found some amazing tips and products that I wanted to share with you today!
Pink Blush Maternity has the cutest selection of dresses to choose from and are super stylish too! I also love their non-maternity line as well! This white dress I got from them is one of my favorite dresses I own now! I love white with a good (fake) tan for spring and summer, and I love how the sleeves are airy and not constricting. The fit is amazing and it also comes in a gorgeous peach/pink color as well! I ordered a size up to make sure it will fit throughout my pregnancy! I’ve been ordering a size up lately, just so I know all these maternity clothes I’ve been buying will be well worth it by the end!

MY TOP 10 PREGNANCY MUST-HAVES:
- Mamma Mio Stretch Mark Cream- For preventing and diminishing the appearance of stretch marks (even if you aren’t pregnant!), I have been loving the Mamma Mio Cream! I read so many amazing reviews and have had lots of mammas I know use this during and after their pregnancies and have said they didn’t get any stretch marks! This is something I was especially concerned about because I already have some since I was little from growing, and they have never gone away!! So I’m doing all I can to prevent ANY MORE from showing up!
- The Snoggle- The Snoggle has been by far the best purchase I’ve made! Before I got the Snoggle I was stuffing my sides and around my body with all these pillows just to stay comfy through out the night, and I wouldn’t get any sleep! This pillow has changed my life recently and is so great because I have to sleep on my side during pregnancy! My husband even wants to steal it from me when I’m not using it because he loves it so much too!
- Belli face cleanser and acne cream- So when we knew we wanted to start trying, I immediately got off all the acne medicine I was on and stopped using acne creams because they were unsafe to use while pregnant. Well because of that I started breaking out really bad again! Like not just my face but my chest and back. It was miserable and no matter how clean I kept my skin they just wouldn’t go away! I was also scared to try anything too abrasive because of the harmful ingredients those products contained. I saw Belli face cleanser and acne cream online and read some great reviews on it, but decided not get it. I eventually picked up the kit at a Destination Maternity store for the heck of it, and I LOVE it!!!!! I wish now I would have got it sooner because it cleared up my skin sooo fast! I used it on my face, neck, chest, and back and literally the next day it was clearing up! There must be some magic ingredient that works wonders! It is also non-toxic for the baby and safe to use during pregnancy!!! I’m planning on using this after my pregnancy too! I’ve tried TONS and tons of products since I was a teenager and nothing has cleared my skin up faster than these two products!
- Pre-Natal Vitamins- This is a give-in once you find out your pregnant. But even if you plan to get pregnant in the near future, I recommend taking Prenatal vitamins! I started taking them in the summer, so a few months before we even started trying. My doctor recommended I already have taken them before conceiving. Plus they make your hair and nails grow longer and stronger too 😉 I love the Nature Made Prental Multi + DHA. I only have to take it once a day, and it doesn’t make me nasous after I take it!
- What to Expect App- I downloaded a bunch of pregnancy apps the night I found out I was preganant. But the What to Expect App has been my favorite so far! You enter in your pregnancy info and due date, and it gives you weekly updates of what to expect in your pregnancy week by week! It gives you a countdown and also tells you how big the baby is that week (usually comparing it to the size of fruit) At 14 weeks, my baby is the size of a lemon now! They also have an informative video telling you about the growth and development of your baby and changes going on in your body!
- Water Bottles- I’ve always been pretty good about drinking plenty of water and making sure I’m always hydrated, but that has been especially true during my pregnancy! It’s so important to always stay hydrated and never let yourself go too long without water! Dehydration during pregnancy is bad because it can cause complications such as not helping your body efficiently deliver all the vital nutrients your baby needs, can cause headaches, swelling, and in some cases pre-term labor. I always keep a glass of water with me at all times and when I’m sleeping in case I get thirsty in the middle of the night! I bring a portable water wherever I go as well! I have been loving the life facory glass waterbottles, and I aslo just got the Hydro flask water bottle and LOVE it! It keeps my water really cold all day long, so I don’t have to drink warm water after a few hours of being outside!
- Mario Badascu SPF 30- Every morning after I wash my face, I always put on SPF 30 sunscreen! Even if I’m just running errands and not directly in the sun! It not only helps prevent wrinkles and pre-mature aging, but sunscreen is so important in pregnancy because your skin is more sensitive and prone to malasma. Malasma is a dark “mask” of hyperpigmentation and brown spots that’s usually on the face. It’s fairly common during pregnancy and hard to get rid of after you get it. But putting SPF on everyday and avoiding laying out during pregnancy will helo you prevent from getting this! I’ve been using the Mario Badascu SPF 30 sunscreen and I LOVE it! I used to use Neutrogena but it made my face looks white and flakey, and looked really bad under sunscreen! This sunscreen is well worth it because it goes on smooth and doesn’t make my skin oily afterwards like other ones!!!
- Honest Cleaning Products- I’ve been avoiding harsh chemicals and cleaning products since the 1st trimester. From what I’ve heard they are generally safe to use if you use them in a well ventilated area and wear gloves, but being the overly cautions type I’m avoiding them all together. I instead have been using chemical free and non-toxic Honest cleaning products! They work wonderfully and I have the peace of mind that what is touching my skin and what I’m breathing in is safe for the baby and I! I also plan on using the Honest line when the baby comes!!!
- Organic Bug Spray- Has anyone of you pregnant ladies been a little freaked out about Zika too?! I first heard about Zika during my 1st trimester and it kinda got me scared! The affects of getting it is so sad and scary. Houston has tons of misquotes in the summer, and I got organic bug spray to keep them away! I didn’t want to put any bug spray with harmful chemicals, so I did some research and found this amazing organic bug spray! I’ve been using it and haven’t gotten bit since! This bug spray is also safe to use on your little ones as well!
- Pregnancy Books- The two books I ordered and have been enjoying reading have been “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and “A Guide to A Healthy Pregnancy.” They are both top sellers and had great reviews! What to Expect gives you a detailed summary of what to expect week by week and answers tons of questions in between! I also started reading “A Guide to A Healthy Pregnancy” and love it! It’s from the Mayo Clinic and written by doctors who are parents too! They also answers health questions and tell you what is happening to your baby and yourself week by week! They also have answers to embarrassing pregnancy questions!

Do you use a self tanning lotion or do spray tans? Thanks!
