With May coming to an end, I wanted to share with you my bucket list for Summer! Also, I’ve teamed up with The Southern Shirt Company to share this cute and casual summer look!
Last weekend, my husband Alex and I spent the day down by the marina in Newport Beach and did some shopping in Lido Village. It was an overcast day (thanks early June gloom) but was still so gorgeous! Anytime we are near the beach I am always happy! Lido Village has the cutest shops and restaurants right on the marina. We were able to go in this pretty boat and Kennedy absolutely loved it! Of course, the boat remained tied to the dock the entire time, but hey a girl can pretend! But luckily for Kennedy, the marina has a pretend play boat up by the stores which is a hit among all the kids. Summer is by far my favorite time of the year, so I can’t wait for all the fun activities we are going to do as a family!
I love a great pair of shorts to have in my closet for summer that are not the typical denim. These ones have fabric that is soft, flowy, breathable and soo comfy!! I plan on wearing them to the beach and pool for the months to come. I got these adorable pink shorts and also snagged them in a pretty soft grey color. I got them from The Southern Shirt Company and I am obsessed with all the comfy, cute and casual pieces they carry. This turquoise tie-dye tee is one of their signature tees and if you’re from the south you probably have one yourself! I was so giddy when they reached out to collaborate because all of their clothes really remind me of living in Texas with their preppy, casual vibes of the gorgeous South. In case you missed it, I did a try-on-haul a few days ago with some additional outfits I got from them. I will be sharing more cute outfits on my blog and Instagram soon!
With Memorial Day this weekend and summer coming up, I wanted to share with you my bucket list for Summer! Now that we are living in Southern California, I feel like there is SO much to do here. There is something for everyone- from the beaches, the mountains, close proximity to Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas! Alex and I plan on doing some small weekend trips to local places such as Catalina Island or San Diego. Alex has hinted at taking me to San Francisco for my birthday in September, but I will see if I can handle leaving Kennedy for a couple days… I love making bucket lists because they get me so excited for summer and give me an idea of what our days and weekends will look like. Back when Alex and I were dating 4 years ago, I made a bucket list of things I wanted to do before we left college in Utah. I’m pretty sure were checked everything off the list and it was the most fun we’ve ever had! We still talk about those fun times with all of the fun activities we did before we left school. This bucket list includes things for our family, my toddler and me as well! It is always important to consider your options for you and your loved ones when creating bucket lists!
